Um 9 Uhr begaben wir uns zum Frühstück heute Morgen und ich bediente mich der grossen Auswahl an Früchten und frischen Fruchtsäften. Danach ging ich eine Stunde am Strand joggen und da es Flut war konnte ich sogar im Meer schwimmen - einfach nur genial!

At 9 am this morning we went for breakfast and I took advantage of the large selection of fruits and fresh fruit juices. Thereafter I went for an hour’s run at the beach and since it was high tide I could even swim in the sea - just awesome!

Am Mittag nahm ich ein leichtes Mittagessen im Hotelrestaurant ein, da ich nach dem Früchte-Frühstück ein kleines Hüngerchen verspürte... Den frühen Nachmittag verbrachten wir im Liegestuhl am Strand vor unserem Bungalow. Es ging ein starker Wind, der die Hitze erträglich machte und der Grund der vielen Kite Surfer war, die hier ihr Paradies gefunden hatten...

At noon I took a light lunch in the hotel restaurant because I felt a little bit hungry after the fruit-breakfast ... The early afternoon we spent at the beach in front of our bungalow. There was a strong wind which made the heat bearable and is the reason of the many kite surfers who had found their paradise here...

Um 16:30 Uhr machten wir uns auf die Cayos zu erkunden und fuhren erst einmal zum Playa Pilar ganz im Westen von Cayo Guillermo. Als wir dann später durch Cayo Coco mit seinen vielen grossen all inclusive Resorts fuhren, wurde uns klar, dass wir mit unserem Hotel Allegro auf Cayo Guillermo die beste Wahl getroffen hatten! : )

Das Abendessen nahmen wir wieder im Buffetrestaurant ein, wo wir heute gegrillte Riesencrevetten genossen. Nach einem Schlummertrunk in der Hemingway Bar war es dann bald Zeit zum Schlafen, todmüde von der heissen Sonne den ganzen Tag.

At 4:30 pm we went to explore the Cayos and first drove to Playa Pilar the most western point of Cayo Guillermo. As we passed Cayo Coco with its many large all inclusive resorts later on, we realized that we had made our  best choice with the Hotel Allegro on Cayo Guillermo! : )

Also tonight we went for dinner at the buffet restaurant where we enjoyed grilled prawns today. After a nightcap in the Hemingway bar  it was soon time to sleep, as we both were exhausted from the hot sun all day long.
